New Features of the 2022 Dodge Durango and Durango SRT
The Dodge Durango is a leader in the three-row, mid-size SUV segment, and with some exciting new features for the 2022 models, it continues to demonstrate its proven performance. The Durango offers a combination not found in many, or any, mid-size SUVs--power and performance that make it an exceptionally fun vehicle to drive.
What's New for 2022
The 2022 Dodge Durango and Durango SRT continue to offer modern exterior styling and an interior focused on the driver. With class-leading towing capabilities and confident driving dynamics, it adds several new features to help it stay ahead of the competition.
Driver-Assistance Technologies
Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross path detection were made standard across the Durango lineup for 2022. For drivers that want the latest and greatest safety features, the Durango delivers to keep them driving safely and confidently.
Durango SXT Additions
The Durango SXT is the entry-level Durango model, and it became a more complete offering with the additions for the 2022 model. It not only gained the now-standard blind-spot monitoring system, but it also added rear parking sessions, roof rails, and a power-adjustable driver's seat.
The previously optional third row of seats is now standard to increase passenger capacity for drivers with large families or extra riders. The SXT model starts around $44,000.
Durango GT Additions
The GT model, which falls above the SXT trim in the lineup, also received numerous new features. Starting just over $48,000, drivers are now treated to remote start, heated front seats and steering wheel, and a power-operated rear liftgate.
Durango Powertrains
The standard engine for the 2022 Dodge Durango is a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 that delivers 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It is standard on the Durango SXT, GT, and Citadel models.
Standard on the R/T model and available on the Citadel, the Durango can also be equipped with a best-in-class 360-hp 5.7-litre HEMI V8 engine that produces 390 lb-ft of torque.
The real draw is the 2022 Dodge Durango SRT, which features a HEMI V8 engine that rockets the Durango to 97 km/h in 4.4 seconds and produces 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
2022 Dodge Durango Models and Pricing
To meet the needs of buyers, the 2022 Dodge Durango is available across Canada in seven trim levels: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, Citadel Anodized Platinum, SRT 392, and SRT Hellcat.
The SRT 392 starts just under $70,000 and offers performance that drivers will not find in another other mid-size SUV. Supremely capable and amazingly fun to drive, drivers do not have to suffer in a boring SUV when they choose the Dodge Durango SRT 392.
For drivers that do not need that level of power, the GT model, starting just over $48,000, offers a great mix of value and features, including leather seats, heated first and second row seats, power liftgate, remote start system, and more.
